Anomaly’s medical training unit is focused on helping Ukraine save more lives, and increase its efficient ascension into NATO by improving its interoperability with both the United States and other NATO partners.

Anomaly’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care Programs started at the dawn of the Russian invasion in 2014. We were some of the first trainers of TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) in Ukraine. We have trained more than 28 military brigades, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU), the Security Service, the National Police, Border Security, Emergency Services, Territorial Defense, Dobrovolets Battalions, National Defense Universities, Military Lyceums, and more.

Anomaly has been recognized for these efforts by the Ukrainian government many times, and have also been engaged by the same to provide advice to the AFU on medical reforms. We have advised the Chief General of NGU and instructed Ukrainian Special Operations soldiers on TCCC from 2017-2019. This resulted in the NGU adopting our NATO-aligned protocols, and led their full adoption by the AFU. At the request of the Ukrainian President and the Chief of the Navy, Anomaly also helped develop a training and operational partnership between the 36th Ukrainian Marines and the Azov Regiment of the National Guard. Anomaly is proud to have participated in the preparation of the Mariupol Defenders, who went on to heroically defend Mariupol against Russia’s illegal aggression.

TCCC Training

FIRST RESPONSE LIFE SAVING

Pre-Hospital Medicine

In the critical six months preceding the full-scale conflict with Russia, our team played a pivotal role in fortifying the resilience of the Ukrainian population. Demonstrating our unwavering commitment to preparedness, we conducted comprehensive training programs that reached over 2,500 individuals in the realm of pre-hospital medicine. Focusing our efforts strategically in the Kyiv/Kyiv Oblast areas, which unfortunately later became the target of occupation and attacks by Russian forces, we endeavored to equip local residents with essential life-saving skills. Our training initiatives encompassed a diverse range of pre-hospital medical practices, ensuring that participants were well-versed in responding effectively to emergencies, thereby fostering a sense of self-reliance within the community.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Defending Kyiv

In a decisive response to the urgent appeal for assistance on February 24th, our dedicated team swiftly mobilized to aid the former Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, and the valiant 206th Battalion Territorial Defense of Ukraine. Recognizing the critical need for immediate support, we proactively provided Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training, equipping the personnel with essential life-saving skills tailored to the challenging conditions they face. In addition, we contributed 500 Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKs), reinforcing their capacity to respond to medical emergencies in the field.

FUTURE LEADERS

NATO Ready

Anomaly continues to forge strategic partnerships that contribute to Ukraine’s preparedness for future NATO ascension. One of our current programs includes a collaborative effort with the Military Lyceum Ivan Boguna in Kyiv, providing our expertise in training the next generation of Ukrainian officers in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). This program not only bolsters the capabilities of future Ukrainian military leaders, but also serves the shared mission of future NATO ascension. A recent photograph of Anomaly (CEO) David Plaster and esteemed Hero of Ukraine, Major General Ihor Hordiychuk (a former Lyceum Commander), reflects our commitment to this program.

These critical partnerships with Ukraine’s military Lyceums will continue to save lives, strengthen Ukraine’s military, better prepare its leadership, and ensure its future success in full NATO ascension.

STOPPING THE BLEED

Hemostatic Gauze

In collaboration with the former governor of the Kyiv Oblast, Oleksiy Kuleba, (current Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine) Anomaly and its partners have played a crucial role in creating a reliable, comprehensive, enduring supply program for life-saving hemostatic gauze.

This program was created to facilitate the consistent supply of low-cost hemostatic gauze to the valiant soldiers and dedicated medical professionals who tirelessly commit themselves to saving lives each day. Our involvement in the development of this initiative underscores our commitment to addressing life-saving medical concerns on the front-lines.

Hemostatic gauze is an incredibly important resource in the realm of combat medicine, serving as a critical tool in managing life-threatening blood loss on the battlefield. Its specialized properties, often infused with hemostatic agents, enable rapid blood clotting, effectively stemming the flow of blood from wounds and injuries. This program helps ensure consistent, reliable access to this life-saving resource to the soldiers and medical professionals on the front-line.
